Norwich : A One Horse Town

I must say, I was quite content when I first moved here. As I explored the country roads from late summer into fall, the landscape slowly emerged into a magnificence of color. When I saw a hawk, up close and personal, my heart rejoiced; I took it as sign from my creator. I was, indeed, meant to be here, I recalled a puzzle I had when I was child, a patchwork of green cornfields and golden hayfields. A two-storied white farmhouse and a red barn with a silo in the foreground, a mountain ablaze in autumn color in the background.

That first winter didn’t seem as long as everyone had warned. In fact, I was quite content staying in, staying close to home. That was my very first experience, living in this one horse town.

But then, I went outside for a walk.
